Refrigerator Water Filters: Find Yours by Part Number

By Daniel Hayes ยท Updated October 2026

The fastest way to get the right filter is to read the number on your current one. Here are common filters, the fridges they fit, and the other numbers they’re sold under.

Find your model number first. See how to find your appliance model number, then confirm any part is listed for it.

Tips for buying a filter

  • Match the number on your old filter or in your manual. Filters that look alike often aren’t interchangeable.
  • Buy genuine. Counterfeit filters are common online. Buy from a reputable seller and look for NSF certification.
  • Replace on schedule. Most makers recommend about every 6 months, or sooner if water flow slows.
  • After fitting, run a few gallons through the dispenser to clear air and carbon dust.
