Whirlpool Dryer Parts: Common Part Numbers and What They Fix

By Daniel Hayes ยท Updated October 2026

Whirlpool builds dryers sold under many brands, including Kenmore, Maytag, KitchenAid, Roper and Amana, so these parts fit far more than Whirlpool-badged dryers. Here are the parts that most often need replacing.

Find your model number first. See how to find your appliance model number, then confirm any part is listed for it.

Common part numbers

Part number Part Fits
3392519 Thermal Fuse Many Whirlpool, Maytag and Kenmore dryers
279838 Heating Element Whirlpool, Kenmore, Roper and Maytag electric dryers
341241 Drum Belt Most Whirlpool-made dryers, including Kenmore 110-series, Maytag, KitchenAid, Roper and Amana
4392067 Maintenance Kit (Belt, Rollers, Idler Pulley) 27-inch Whirlpool-built dryers made in 1993 or later (short-terminal version)

Which part matches your problem?

  • Runs but no heat: check the vent, then the thermal fuse (3392519) and, on electric models, the heating element (279838).
  • Motor runs, drum doesn’t turn: the drum belt (341241).
  • Squealing or thumping: worn rollers or idler pulley; the 4392067 kit replaces them with a new belt.

Safety first: unplug the dryer before opening any panel, and on gas dryers shut off the gas. If you’re not comfortable testing parts, call a qualified technician.
